1. Access control is the whole feature
- Back-panel access — the main compartment opens against your back. The strongest single anti-theft feature, and it changes the pattern completely.
- Hidden side pockets — for a passport or phone, usually with a zip that sits under a flap.
- Lockable sliders — specify the zipper brand and slider type; a lock only works if both sliders can be brought together.
- Reverse-coil or covered zips — the teeth are not exposed, so a blade cannot get in as easily.
- RFID-blocking pocket — cheap to add, easy to claim, and it reads well in a listing. Specify which pocket and the blocking layer.
